NOTICE OF INTENTION TO INTRODUCE LOCAL LEGISLATION "Notice is given that there will be introduced at the regular 2026 session of the General Assembly of Georgia a bill to amend an Act known as the "Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority Act of 1965," approved March 10, 1965 (Ga. L. 1965, p.2243), and for other purposes. MARTA will seek to amend Section 25 of the MARTA Act to extend the expiration date of the l% tax referenced in Section 25 from June 30, 2057 to June 30, 2067. 1-6-26
