East Ridge Park Park West Cortland PUBLIC NOTICE OF THE OPENING DATE AND CLOSING DATE OF THE SITE-BASED WAITING LIST East Ridge Park and Park West is accepting pre-applications for units receiving rental assistance in several of its One (1), Two (2) and Three (3) bedroom apartments. Eligible residents will pay no more than 30% of their adjusted monthly income for rent and utilities, subject to applicable requirements. East Ridge Park and Park West is accepting pre-applications for both the standard site-based waitlist and the UFAS waitlist. Please note: UFAS units are fully accessible units designed for persons with mobility-related disabilities or who use a wheelchair or scooter. SE, Atlanta, GA 30354 404.343.7200 Park West- 2798 Peek Rd., Atlanta, GA 3018 404.799.3131 Pre-application period: Open Date: 2/21/2024, 10:00am to 2:00pm Close Date: 2/23/2024 10:00am to 2:00pm Work/Program Participation Requirement: At least one non-disabled adult member of the household age 18 to 61 must be legally employed or self-employed full-time at least 20 hours per week in a legitimate business enterprise as appropriately documented as required by management procedures. Each other household member 18 years old and above must be either: a. At least (1) household member age 18 or older must be working at least 20 hours per week. b. All other household members age 18 and older must be either: i.Legally and gainfully employed or self-employed (full time equivalent) for an average of 20 hours/week; ii.Attending an AH-recognized school or training full-time; iii.School Education that will lead to the earning of a diploma, certificate, associate, undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited school iv.Training A program operated by an established organization that has the capacity to track and report participant progress. The acceptable program classifications include but are not limited to: 1. Occupational skills training (on-the-job training, employer-sponsored) 2. Entrepreneurial training 3. Job readiness training (adult education, literacy, English as a second language, rehabilitative services) c. Employed on a part-time basis, attending an accredited school and/or participating in an approved training program for a combined minimum total on average of 20 hours per week for employment and education/training; or; d. Caretaker for a disabled household member Note: The Work/Program Participation Requirement does not apply to households in which all adult members of the household are either 62 years of age or older, a person with a verified disability or to a household member serving as a full-time caretaker for an elderly or disabled household member. Priority Categories: Both the standard site-based waitlist and UFAS waitlist eligible applicants will be ranked on the site-based waiting list according to the recorded date and time their fully completed pre-application forms were received and accepted by management. Applicants who request a fully accessible unit will also be placed on both waiting lists. Please note that an applicant desiring to lease an assisted apartment must comply with all applicable eligibility criteria, including but not limited to the criteria set forth in the pre-application. All information provided by the applicant will be verified from all applicable sources including, but not limited to employers, providers, and federal, state, and local government agencies. Applicants who have misrepresented any information during the application process may be removed from the site-based waiting list or, if housed, subject to lease termination. In addition, applicants who have previously participated in any assisted housing program and were terminated for cause may not be eligible. Applicants who are determined ineligible will be offered the opportunity to participate in an informal meeting with management to dispute the ineligibility decision.
