PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF BROOKHAVEN Community Development Block Grant Program 2022 Annual Action Plan 30-DAY PUBLIC REVIEW AND COMMENT PERIOD AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS Notice is hereby given that the City of Brookhaven is seeking public input pursuant to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program 2021-2025 Consolidated Plan 2022 Annual Action Plan. The primary objective of the CDBG program is the development of viable urban communities by supporting decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expanding economic opportunities principally for persons of low- and moderate-income. This funding is provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Two Public Hearings will be held at the regularly scheduled Brookhaven City Council Meeting. June 28 and July 26, 2022 Brookhaven City Hall, 3rd floor 4362 Peachtree Rd NE Brookhaven, GA 30319 7:00 pm 2022 Annual Action Plan The Consolidated Plan is a 5-year strategic plan that identifies priority community needs and projects/programs that may be implemented to meet these needs. The Annual Action Plan outlines the City's proposed use of CDBG funds for a twelve-month period anticipating an allocation of $336,993, and the City's adopted 2021-2025 Consolidated Plan. The draft plan will be posted from June 17 through July 26, 2022, at https://www.brookhavenga.gov/commdev/page/community-development-block-grant-program The plan is also available for public review at City of Brookhaven City Hall, 4362 Peachtree Rd, Brookhaven, GA 30319 between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm. WRITTEN COMMENT PERIOD The City of Brookhaven strongly encourages public participation in the development of Annual Plans. Written comments will be accepted through 5:00 pm on July 25, 2022.
