CITY OF SOUTH FULTON NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO SECTION 6.11 OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY TO REVISE CERTAIN PROCEDURES RELATING TO THE IMPOSITION OF MILLAGE RATES PLEASE BE ADVISED that the City of South Fulton is providing this notice pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 36-35-3(b) to inform public that the City Council for the City of South Fulton will hear and consider a proposed amendment to the Charter of the City at 7:00 P.M. on August 26 and September 9, 2025, at South Fulton City Hall Council Chambers, 5440 Fulton Industrial Boulevard, South Fulton, Georgia 30336, to amend Section 6.11 of the Charter of the City of South Fulton to revise certain procedures relating to the imposition of millage rates, as contemplated by O.C.G.A. § 36-35-3. Section 6.11 places a cap on millage rates imposed for ad valorem taxes prescribed by the City and will be amended to reflect that the City Council may determine the appropriate millage to facilitate development and revitalization efforts throughout the City. A copy of the proposed amendment is available for viewing and consideration by the Public at City Hall by contacting Municipal Clerk Corey Adams and is also on file with the Clerk of the Superior Court of Fulton County as required by O.C.G.A. § 36-35-3(b). 8-22, 29, 9-5-25
