Notice of Public Hearing on Proposed Revenue Bonds

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED REVENUE BONDS TO BE ISSUED BY THE DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF FULTON COUNTY Notice is hereby given that on the 1st day of July, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the offices of the Development Authority of Fulton County, Fulton County Administration Building, 141 Pryor Street, Suite 2052 (Peachtree Level), Atlanta, Georgia 30303, a public hearing will be held before the Development Authority of Fulton County (the "Issuer"), or its authorized hearing officer, concerning the proposed issuance of revenue bonds in one or more series (the "Bonds"), by the Issuer in the aggregate principal amount of not to exceed $50,000,000. Pursuant to a Loan Agreement (the "Loan Agreement") between the Issuer and Georgia Tech Athletic Association, a Georgia nonprofit corporation (the "Borrower"), the proceeds of the Bonds will be loaned to the Borrower. The Borrower intends to use the proceeds of the Bonds for the purpose of financing all or a portion of the costs of (i) renovations and improvements to the Bobby Dodd Football Stadium at Grant Field which is located on the campus of the Georgia Tech Institute of Technology ("Georgia Tech") at 150 Bobby Dodd Way in the City of Atlanta, Georgia and is bordered on the north by Bobby Dodd Way, on the south by North Avenue and on the east by Techwood Drive (the "Football Facility"), (ii) renovations and improvements to the McCamish Basketball Pavilion which is located on the campus of Georgia Tech at 965 Fowler Street, N.W. in the City of Atlanta and is bordered on the south by 8th Street, on the west by Fowler Street, on the north by 10th Street and on the east by Interstate 75/85 (the "Basketball Facility") and (ii) refunding of a portion of the outstanding Development Authority of Fulton County Revenue Bonds (Georgia Tech Athletic Association Project), Series 2012A which financed or refinanced the acquisition, construction and equipping of certain athletic facilities on the campus of Georgia Tech in the Midtown area of Atlanta, Georgia (collectively with the Football Facility and the Basketball Facility, the "Facilities"). In addition, the proceeds of the Bonds may also be used to fund capitalized interest on the Bonds, and the costs of issuance of the Bonds. The Facilities will be leased by the Borrower and operated by the Borrower or Georgia Tech, a unit of the University System of Georgia. The Bonds, when and if issued, will be limited obligations of the Issuer and will not constitute a general obligation of the State of Georgia, the City of Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia, the Issuer or any political subdivision of the State of Georgia, nor shall the Bonds be payable in any manner by taxation, but are payable solely from the payments made pursuant to the Loan Agreement which will be pledged to the payment of the Bonds. The issuance of Bonds is in furtherance of the public purpose of the Issuer. Any interested party having views on the proposed issuance of the Bonds or the nature or location of the Facilities may be heard at such public hearing.
