Spill Notice ATLANTA On Wednesday, March 20, 2019, a major sanitary sewer spill of an estimated 16,000 gallons caused by a grease blockage occurred at 196 Montgomery Ferry Drive NE. The spill caused sewage to flow into a tributary of Peachtree Creek. A Department of Watershed Management wastewater services team contained the spill at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, and the affected area has been scheduled for cleaning and disinfection. Stream water quality sampling has been initiated. The Georgia Environmental Protection Division was promptly notified. Kishia L.
