The CSRs present Oasis's findings of certification of compliance with approved Risk Reduction Standards (RRS) under the GA Environmental Protection Division (EPD) Hazardous Site Response Act (HSRA) for groundwater and soil at PP2, PP2B, PP3A, PP3B, PP3C, and PP4 (Sites). Oasis prepared a CSR for PP2, PP2B, PP3A, PP3B, and PP3C in an effort to seek removal of these portions of property from the Hazardous Site Inventory (HSI) listing U.S. Army Fort Gillem Southeast Burial Site (HSI ID 10944). Oasis prepared a CSR for PP4 in an effort to seek removal of this portion of property from the HSI listing U.S. Army Fort Gillem North Landfill Area (HSI ID 10009). The CSRs include descriptions of investigations, groundwater and soil data, and an assessment of the risk to human health and the environment at the Sites. The Georgia Environmental Protection Division, Department of Natural Resources, State of Georgia (EPD) has placed these sites on the Hazardous Site Inventory pursuant to its authority under the Hazardous Site Response Act and Rules promulgated thereunder. As required by the Rules for Hazardous Site Response, the responsible party for these sites was required to investigate the sites and submit compliance status reports to EPD summarizing the results of that investigation. EPD is currently reviewing the compliance status reports to determine if corrective action is needed for the regulated substances that have been released at these sites. Before EPD decides whether corrective action is needed, the public has the opportunity to review the compliance status reports and provide comments to EPD about the report. Interested members of the public may review and comment on the CSRs during a 30-day Public Comment Period, from July 3 to August 3, 2020.
