Notice of Public Comment Period Action Memorandum (Time-Critical Removal Action) Dry Cleaner Site, FTMP-13 & Former Water Tower Site, FTMP-15 Fort McPherson, Fulton County, Georgia The Department of the Army invites the public to review and provide comment on the Time-Critical Removal Action (TCRA) performed for the Dry Cleaner Site, FTMP-13 and the Former Water Tower Site, FTMP-15, at Fort McPherson in Fulton County, Georgia (GA) in accordance with the public participation requirements of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA, 42 U.S.C. 9604 et seq. as amended) Section 104 and under 40 CFR Section 300.415 of the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan (NCP). The U.S. Army (Army) conducted a TCRA to remove contaminated soil at the FTMP-13 and FTMP-15 Sites. The TCRA implemented the recommendations presented in the Action Memorandum signed by the Army in January 2018. The Action Memorandum was issued by the Army as the lead agency for cleanup at the FTMP-13 and FTMP-15 Sites in cooperation with the Georgia Environmental Protection Division, as support agency. Interested members of the public may review and comment on the Action Memorandum during a 30-day Public Comment Period, from May 19 to June 18, 2019. The Action Memorandum may be reviewed at the Fort Gillem Enclave, 1508 Hood Avenue, Room A-102, Forest Park, GA 30297, 404-469-3399. Written comments on the Action Memorandum and TCRA may be sent to Mr. Owen Nuttall, BRAC Environmental Coordinator, at 1508 Hood Avenue, Room A-102, Forest Park, GA 30297 or emailed to owen.m.nuttall.civ@mail.mil. Comments must be post marked no later than midnight of the last day of the comment period to be considered. The Army will schedule a public meeting should the public express sufficient interest. The public will be notified of the date, time, and location of the meeting through a notice in The Atlanta Journal Constitution. 5-19/2019
