In accordance with Section 12-8-32(c) of the Georgia Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Act, notice is hereby served that Willow Oak Landfill, LLC has received a site suitability notice from the Environmental Protection Division of The Georgia Department of Natural Resources for the proposed expansion of an existing solid waste handling facility known as Willow Oak Landfill located at 7395 Roosevelt Highway, Palmetto, Georgia 30213. The City of Palmetto will hold a public meeting to inform affected residents and landowners in the area of the proposed project site. This meeting is an opportunity for affected residents and landowners to voice their opinions and ask questions about the proposed project site. If warranted, further meetings will be held according to the Facility Issues Negotiation (FIN) process procedures. The meeting will be held at Palmetto Community Center located at 595 Main Street, Palmetto, Georgia 30268 on August 7, 2024 at 7:00 PM. 7-23-24
