CITY OF ATLANTA OFFICE OF GRANTS MANAGEMENT ANNUAL TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE SESSION for PROSPECTIVE APPLICANTS for 2020 HUD GRANT FUNDING The City of Atlanta's Office of Grants Management will be holding its Annual Technical Assistance Session for persons and organizations interested in applying for funding under the 2020 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), 2020 Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), 2020 Home Investment Partnership (HOME) Grant, and 2020 Housing Opportunities for Persons With HIV/AIDS (HOPWA) Grant. The session will be held on April 22, 2019, 10am - 12pm, in Committee Room Two, 2nd floor, City Hall Atrium, 55 Trinity Street SW, Atlanta, Georgia 30303. Applications will be due no later than 4:00 PM, Friday, May 31, 2019. A Draft of the City's Comprehensive Annual Performance and Evaluation Report "CAPER" is available for citizen review in the Office of Grants Managements, 68 Mitchell Street, Suite 11100. Historic Preservation: Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 (NHPA), requires federal agencies (and/or their local partners, such as the City of Atlanta) to consider the effects of federal programs and projects on historic or potentially historic properties. Before the funding for a program or project is finalized by the City, the physical or visual components of a program or project may have to change to meet the requirements of the Section 106 review process. The Section 106 process also requires that the City solicit public input on any historic preservation topics related to these programs and the potential for these programs to effect historic or potentially historic properties in the City.
