LANCE ~ LAMAR WEDDING On a picture-perfect fall day, the sun beamed brightly as WXIA (11Alive) nightside weekend anchor and reporter, Natisha Lance, wed Brian Lamar in front of an arch adorned with white flowers. The two married in an intimate, COVID safe ceremony before 20 family members and friends in a beautiful outdoor setting on October 2. The 2:30 pm ceremony was officiated by the groom's uncle, Bishop Matthew Amos of Chicago, and held at the groom's parents' private residence.The bride is the daughter of Harold (deceased) and Mae Lance of Plymouth, Minnesota. The groom is the son of William and Kathy Lamar of Roswell, GA. Lamar, also a Midwest native, grew up in Oak Park, Illinois. The bride wore a white off the shoulder Roland Mouret dress while the groom wore a custom tuxedo by Q Clothier. The couple met while attending Spelman College and Morehouse College, respectively, but remained friends until 2017. They are proud to continue the long legacy of "SpelHouse" unions. Lamar works with Atlanta based entertainment and travel company, Sixthman. Lance, who also holds an MS degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, joined the 11Alive family in 2017 from CNN/HLN. The couple loves to travel the world but will delay their honeymoon due to COVID. Best wishes to the couple.
