NOTICE OF PROPOSED BANK MERGER Notice is hereby given that Branch Banking and Trust Company, a North Carolina bank with its main office located at 200 West Second Street, Winston-Salem, North Carolina ("Branch Bank"), filed an application on or about March 8, 2019 with the Atlanta Regional Office of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (the "FDIC") to merge with SunTrust Bank, a Georgia bank with its main office located at 303 Peachtree Street, Northeast Atlanta, GA 30308. The application was filed under 12 U.S.C. § 1828(c) and 12 CFR Part 303. Under the terms of the merger, SunTrust Bank would be merged with and into Branch Bank and Branch Bank would be the surviving entity and continue as a North Carolina bank. It is possible that the aforementioned banks may decide to close or consolidate one or more bank branches in connection with their proposed merger in geographies where branches overlap or for other business reasons, but it is not likely that any such decisions will be made until after consummation of the merger. This notice is published pursuant to Section 18(c) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act, 12 U.S.C.§ 1828(c), and section 303.65 of the regulations of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. 12 C.F.R. 303.65. Any person wishing to comment on the application may file his or her comments in writing with the Regional Director (RMS) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation at the Atlanta Regional Office, Ten 10th Street, NW, Suite 800, Atlanta, GA 30309-3849, not later than April 7, 2019. The nonconfidential portions of the application are on file in the regional office and are available for public inspection during regular business hours.
